Mindfulness Yoga incorporates yoga postures, gentle sequences of movement, breath work, supported silent meditation, and guided relaxation. This class alternates between periods of movement and stillness to help support increased awareness and mindfulness of the breath and body, and quieting of the nervous system.
This is a gentle-on-the-joints practice, so there is no weight bearing through the knees or wrists. Chairs are available.
Blocks, blankets, meditation cushions (or bolsters) are recommended.
No yoga experience needed.
