Yoga For Golfers

What if someone told you yoga could improve your golf game? You'd run out and sign up for yoga, wouldn't you? We're here to tell you that yoga really can improve your golf game and this class is challenging enough to satisfy your competitive edge. You will learn posture names, correct alignment, how to reset before and after hitting the links, and how to find balance while playing. 

 

Any sport that uses one side of the body more than another is going to create an imbalance. The key is to train the body symmetrically, and to choose yoga poses that will help strengthen your hips and core while opening your spine and shoulders. Luckily, yoga does just that by improving your balance, flexibility, core strength, and mental focus.

 

Yoga as supplemental exercise is very effective at developing proper golfing form. Physically, yoga helps golfers access greater range of motion and increased agility by training your muscles, nerves, and joints to adjust to change in tension degree and pull angle which will improve your golf swing!

Mentally, yoga helps to create a heightened level of focus and awareness while golfing. This mental training can help golfers perform more effectively on the course to stay focused on form. 

Anthony DiLuglio will lead you through a challenging yoga class that will satisfy your competitive edge. You will learn posture names, correct alignment, breathing techniques, how to reset before and after hitting the links, and how to find balance while playing. 

Tips for enjoying your class:

  • Bring a club (any club will work)

  • No yoga experience necessary

  • Intensity: moderate

  • Bring your own yoga mat, borrow one of ours, or purchase one onsite

  • Wear comfortable clothing that is breathable and allows you to move freely

  • Come to class well hydrated and bring a bottle of water (we sell bottled water and also have a fill-up station)

  • Leave your phone outside

  • Space is limited, pre-registration is highly recommended

  • This event is non-refundable
